Learning Goals
By the end of this course, you’ll move from precise but cautious communication to comfortable and convincing French expression. You’ll handle spontaneous conversations on abstract or sensitive topics, present arguments and opinions clearly, and react naturally in social, professional, or academic settings—without searching for words or second-guessing your tone.
Skills you Gain
You’ll finally follow fast native speakers in meetings, podcasts, and films. You’ll explain complicated ideas or feelings without hesitation, confidently join group conversations, and defend your views or ask nuanced questions. Complex emails, letters, and reports won’t feel overwhelming. You’ll sound natural, persuasive, and ready for true professional or academic life in French.
Course Content
In small groups, you’ll be challenged to think on your feet—giving spontaneous talks, discussing articles, and debating real issues. You’ll get personal feedback on every nuance: how your tone, word choice, and structure affect meaning. Mistakes are discussed privately and supportively, building a risk-free atmosphere for trying new expressions. Your teacher models advanced language, explains subtleties in clear English if needed, and makes sure every student stays actively involved. Expect lively, dynamic sessions where progress is obvious week by week.
