Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer (DTZ) English-led prep course

Course description

Learning Goals
You will leave this course fully ready to pass the DTZ exam—the key step for your German residence or naturalization. Nothing here is about abstract knowledge: the training is focused on what the DTZ asks for and how to show your B1 skills in the test format. Under guided practice, you will overcome fear, exam stress, and language anxiety. Your progress means more than a test result: it is a necessary milestone for your life, your future, and your integration in Germany.
Skills you Gain
By the end of this course, you will know exactly how to answer every part of the DTZ, whether it’s listening, reading, writing short messages, or expressing yourself clearly in spoken tasks. You’ll train under exam time limits, learn to avoid common mistakes, and gain confidence in speaking, even if you find it stressful. You’ll know what to expect on test day, how to manage nerves, and how to give answers the exam is looking for.
Course Content
You will work through all DTZ exam parts—Hören, Lesen, Schreiben, Sprechen—step by step, with English support at every stage. Each lesson includes real exam task simulations under time limits, so you get used to test pressure. We offer practical strategies for handling all task types and focus on the mistakes candidates often make. You will regularly take mock exams and receive targeted, honest feedback to help you understand what to improve. Group practice helps you build speaking confidence and manage stress before test day. All training and materials come with clear English explanations.
Requirements
You should already have basic German skills at A2 or low B1 level. This is not for total beginners—some German understanding is needed to benefit. You need a laptop, tablet, or smartphone with a stable internet connection and a camera for video meetings via Google Meet. Motivation and willingness to speak in group sessions are important. We do not accept students below A2 level.
Pricing and Enrollment
The course costs 200 € per month and runs for 4 months. Lessons take place twice a week (two 90-minute sessions) in small groups of 4–6 students, live on Google Meet. There are no discounts or recordings. All teaching is conducted in English, but you’ll practice speaking and writing German for the DTZ. Enrollment is open until groups are full.
