Russian course for beginners: Elementary (A1 to A2 level)

Learning Goals

By the end of this course, you’ll handle daily life in Russian: ordering food, shopping, introducing yourself, making simple plans, and asking for help. You’ll find it much easier to start conversations, understand short responses, and feel comfortable navigating basic situations. You will no longer freeze when spoken to and will start to enjoy using Russian outside the classroom.

Skills you Gain

You’ll greet people, exchange small talk, give your phone number and address, order food or drinks, ask for prices, buy tickets, book appointments, and describe what you want or need. You’ll understand polite requests and simple explanations. Your Russian will be good enough to share the basics about yourself and take care of everyday life in a Russian-speaking city.

Course Content

In each class, you’ll practice speaking in real-life situations with others at your level. You’ll use fun, practical exercises and get personal feedback from your teacher. Mistakes are welcome—they help you improve and feel more confident. The group is small, so you get space to try, ask for help, and build your skills week by week. The atmosphere is friendly, and every lesson gives you useful phrases to use immediately. You’ll notice real progress as Russian becomes part of your daily routine.

Requirements

You only need a smartphone or laptop and an internet connection—no special software or previous experience required. Just bring your curiosity and be ready to speak up, make mistakes, and learn together. All instructions and help will be in clear English.

Pricing and Enrollment

The course runs for 4 months, with 2 sessions a week (each 90 minutes), held on Google Meet. You’ll work in a small group of 4–6 students, which means more speaking time and personal feedback. The course costs 200 €/month. At the end, you’ll receive a certificate showing your new skills. No discounts and sessions are only live—there are no recordings.
