Russian beginner course: Learn basic Russian for everyday life

Learning Goals

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to read the Russian alphabet, introduce yourself, understand and respond to basic questions, handle everyday needs in shops and cafes, ask for help or directions, and navigate simple conversations with native speakers. Our focus is on real-world communication for travel and daily life, not memorizing textbook rules.

Skills you Gain

You’ll be able to read simple menus, ask and answer questions like «Where is the toilet?» or «How much is this?», buy tickets or order food, greet people politely, spell your name, fill in basic forms, and understand common words you see around town. Simple phone calls and getting basic help will no longer be stressful.

Course Content

Picture a small group where everyone is starting from zero, just like you. Classes are friendly and relaxed, with lots of speaking and listening practice. The teacher explains in clear English and helps you feel comfortable making mistakes. You’ll practice with classmates, hear real Russian, and learn to pronounce words one step at a time. There’s personal feedback, so you know what you’re doing well and how to improve. Every lesson is focused on real things you need to do in Russian, using practical words and phrases.

Requirements

You need only a laptop or smartphone and a stable internet connection. No Russian knowledge or special software is required. All you need is your interest and time for the live online sessions.

Pricing and Enrollment

The course is 4 months long, with groups of 4–6 students for lots of personal attention. Lessons are twice a week, 90 minutes each, live on Google Meet. The fee is 200 €/month. At the end of the course, you receive a certificate confirming your new language skills.
